I am in love with LOVE!
I saw this little printed on canvas sign at a store today, and it stopped me right on my tracks. What can I tell you…I am in love with love and…let’s leave it at that.
After reading quite a few books that mention that people who have a love interest, or in other words, are in love or are loved…they live longer. What!!!!! Need to get me some love. Like a pill or a vitamin.
Does that mean that I have to give up my peace, quiet, my independence, my freedom and most important…half of my bed? Don’t think so!
So I have decided to choose someone from my not immediate circle, zero in on someone and just fall in love with this guy. It is very convenient, if I think about him, I get all mushy inside, butterflies in my stomach, etc., etc. You know, all the goodies that go with being in love. So it is like…love on demand. He does not have the foggiest idea about this crazy woman madly in love with him, but as long as it works for me, what do I care what he thinks. Of course, this kind of fictional from outer space version of love has its side effects. I am here drooling for someone who does not even know a thing, and then, well, it gets complicated, very complicated.
Here I am, feeling like a little girl over a boy, but the problem is I am in my after-everything that happens to a woman when she hits the sixth decade plus. It is a sight to behold and a story to listen to. You are. I am most grateful that all of you have very patiently been listening to all this stuff for over a few months already.
Well, going back to the sign. Yes, I know it says about two people falling in love, but this is my story, so I bought it, a new shower curtain, new rugs and a few other things to revamp my small bathroom into a mini spa. Now every time I go in there…I am forced to think about this pretend boyfriend. Maybe I should take that sign down. This one-way relationship is getting on my nerves, but it is fun and it makes me smile.
